Heard about any good books lately?

I sure have, over on "ChapterAWeek". This is an online service for fans of Christian fiction, with one function: If you sign up, each week you will be sent the first chapter of a new inspirational fiction release or two. That way, you can "try before you buy", not to mention keep an eye on the latest and greatest from your favorite authors.

Here's what you'll find in this week's chapters:

Reluctant Smuggler by Jill Elizabeth Nelson"Jill Elizabeth Nelson has crafted an amazing tale of internationalintrigue, pulse-pounding drama, and sacrificial love, as well as anexceptional story line. Reluctant Smuggler is a great read and highlyrecommended!"~Mark Mynheir, homicide detective and author of The Void

Splitting Harriet by Tamara Leigh"Tamara Leigh delights readers with Chick Lit that sparkles andcharacters who come alive."~Kristin Billerbeck, author of The Trophy Wives Club

To read a chapter from these exciting new titles, sign up for ChapterAWeek at this link: http://www.mindystarnsclark.com/contact.php or to order the title go to Amazon.com.

I'll try to post a new ChapterAWeek blurb here each Monday. Be sure to check back Friday for another tip from Tulip!

I get the Chapter A Week emails and I think Reluctant Smuggler sounds interesting. I think it's book 3 in a series.

I do a lot of cross stitch and on my latest project I have ended up with greylead pencil smudges on my aida cloth. I'm still in the middle of the project, but need to get the stains out before I finish or they may be visible in the finished design. I really don't want to have to take the fabric off my scroll frame, but when I tried to use an eraser for fabric it smudged things more. Any suggestions?

Check out this site.

It specifically addresses pencil marks on needlework.

I haven't tried this myself, but it may work for you. :)
